
Senate President Bukola Saraki has left the ruling All Progressives Congress.
In a tweet posted via his verified Twitter handle, the politician said: “I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The reactions to Saraki’s announcement were mixed.
Olusanjo Ewulomi using the Twitter handle @bigsanjay1, said: “So you must relinquish that position. Minority party cannot be the Senate President”.
But one Twitter user@Eromosele6 defended Saraki stating: “If you have the numbers go and impeach him”
