The Senate on Thursday approved a $2.2 billion loan request by President Bola Tinubu.
After reviewing a report presented by Aliyu Wamakko, chair of the Committee on Local and Foreign Debt, the upper legislative chamber approved the loan request.
Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau who presided over Thursday’s plenary commended the committee for its prompt and comprehensive review of the loan request.
