Barring last minute changes, the Senate will commence debate on the recommendations of its Committee on Appropriation on the 2019 Appropriation bill.

The report was laid last week before the Senate embarked on Easter recess.

As at the time of filing this report, the full details of the Committee’s recommendations remain skeletal.

According to the Senate Order Paper, Danjuma Goje, chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation is to move the motion for the consideration of the 2019 Appropriation bill during today’s plenary session.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives is yet to take decision on whether to commence debate on the recommendations of the House Committee on Appropriation bill.
