
The only female candidate running for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, Barr. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye has stepped down for former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu.
Kennedy-Ohanenye said that Nigeria needs a female President hence her contesting. She however said it has become evident that the time is not right for a female President. She therefore stepped down for Tinubu whom she said is an aspirant whom she said shares her aspirations for women, youths, persons with disabilities and the poor.
“I am pleading with delegates to see their votes as a life-saver, so they must to use for the right candidate. I therefore step aside for the right candidate, who I feel is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu”, she said.
Before her six other aspirants had announced their decision to step down for Tinubu at the ongoing presidential primary of the APC.
