After days of speculation on the whereabouts social media personality, Darlighton Okoye, better known as Speed Darlington, popular lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has confirmed that he is being detained by the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja.
According to him, Speed Darlington, also known on social media as Akpi was arrested in Lagos last Friday and then transferred to Abuja, where he has remained in detention since.
Adeyanju alleged that the arrest was based on a formal complaint from Grammy Award-winning artist, Burna Boy.
Adeyanju revealed Speedy’s supposed location in a post on his X handle on Tuesday.
“We just spent the last 30mins with Speed Darlington and he narrated how he was arrested in Lagos Friday last week, moved around and eventually brought to Abuja and has been in detention since then. Petition against him was written by Burna Boy, we can confirm”, he posted.
Earlier, a social media influencer, Constance Nwogu, raised an alarm regarding the alleged disappearance of Speed Darlington.
