
Captain, Rasheed Ajibade’s converted a penalty kick on the 43rd minute to give Super Falcons of Nigeria a narrow 1-0 win over continental rivals, South Africa, in the first leg of qualifiers for football event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The game was played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Friday.
The Super Falcons dominated the game during both halves but where unable to add any more goals.
The Team will play the 2nd leg in Pretoria on Tuesday April 9.
The winner of the tie will qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris.
