Taylor Swift Wins 4th Album Of The Year As Female Artistes Dominate Grammys 2024

Female artistes dominated the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Female acts won all the major prizes with Taylor Swift creating a record by becoming the first performer to win album of the year four times.

Taylor was handed the award by legendary pop singer Céline Dion in a surprise rare public appearance, following her being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2023. “When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart,” Dion said. She added: “Those who have been blessed enough to be here on the Grammy awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives, and to people all around the world.” 

Song of the year went to Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus won record of the year and best new artist went to Victoria Monét who attended the grand ceremony with her husband and baby in tow.

Dua Lipa opened the show with her new single “Training Season.” After a long career in music despite her young age, Miley Cyrus won not only the first Grammy of the night, but also the first Grammy of her career.
There was also scintillating performances from Billie Eilish, SZA and Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Brandy and Burns Boy brought the fun with a performance of the Nigerian’s hit single ‘Sitting on top of the world”. Music legends Tina Turner, Billy Joel and Joni Mitchell were honoured. Luke Combs and Tracy Chapman performing
Lainey Wilson took home Best Country album. Best R&B song was just one of three Grammy SZA took home.
