It was a night of classy fun when wealthy investor and chairman of The Dome Entertainment, Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, hosted a select group of friends for his birthday. Joined by his lovely wife, Gina, Dr. Okonkwo, personally welcomed dozens of his friends and associates who thronged his upscale hangout, which has been beautifully decorated for Christmas. Not one for much formalities, especially when with close friends, guests were simply asked by the host for the night to enjoy the best The Dome has to offer in terms of drinks and cuisines.
Soon guests were enthralled by the brilliant performance by one of the country’s best choirs, The Voices. The choral group performed a medley of Christmas carols, also delving into songs from Igbo folklore. The only formal event at on the night was the cutting of the birthday cake for which Dr. Okonwko and his wife were joined by dignitaries.
Some of the dignitaries at the high octane party include the Catholic Arch-Bishop of Onitsha Valerian Maduka Okeke, former minister of Health Prof. ABC Nwosu, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Chairman Senate Committee on Local Content, Sen. Teslim Folarin and his wife Angela. There also was Sen. Ike Obiora, Sen. Ben Obi, Hon. Tony Nwoye and Dr. Sam Jaja. Okalakwu Igbariam, Igwe Nkeli N. Kelly led an impressive team of traditional rulers to the party. Nollywood was represented by beloved comedian, Mr. Ibu.
