Presidency has confirmed that Boko Haram earlier today released 105 Kidnapped School Girls In Dapchi
A top official in the Presidency who spoke with Newspot Nigeria early this morning confirmed the release of the girls and declined further comments until full press statement is realised to that effect.
According to him, the Presidential media aides have started putting together information on the release of the Dapchi girls and would be released detailed report on the issue in a statement soon.
According to a reports which first emanated from Saharareporters affirmed the militant group returned to Dapchi loaded with the girls in 9 vehicles same way they took them away to drop off the girls.
Reports said as the vehicles driven by the Islamic insurgents appeared, confusion reigned supreme in the arena of the school in Yobe as members of the community scampered into the bush for saftety afraid of another attack.

The insurgents, according to reports, first dropped off one of the girls in a nearby village and then drive into the center of Dapchi town to drop off the remaining.

Five of the girls are, however, reported dead according to international news sources.

It is not clear if the Nigerian government paid any ransom to get the girls released.

President Muhammadu Buhari during his last visit to Dapchi had assured parent and relations of the kidnapped girls that his government would do all in its capacity to rescue them.
In the same vein, the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali earlier in the week re-echoed the President’s stance on the issue, just as he equally assured that the release of the girls was a matter of time.
