The lawmaker representing Kogi Central in the Senate, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has thanked her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan for his unalloyed support through out her career and especially during her current travails.
She also revealed during her appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today, that it was her husband’s idea to travel to her hometown, Ihima in a helicopter, since roadblocks had been mounted on her route following a curfew and the ban on rallies by the Kogi State government.
“It was my husband’s idea. You know they blocked all the roads leading to my house, so my husband suggested we fly in with a helicopter. But you know, I broke no law,” she insisted.
“I own the place where people gathered. I built the road that leads to my house. So, I broke no law”, she added.
The lawmaker also commended the handling of the failed recall move by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
She buckled down on some of the allegation she made during the homecoming event, telling the anchor of the programme, Seun Okinbaloye, that she has evidence to prove the allegations of threat to her life by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the recall move being sponsored by Akpabio and the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
