VIDEO: My Trouble In Senate Started After I Rejected Akpabio’s Sexual Advances, Natasha Akpoti Alleges

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senator representing Kogi Central has accused the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment.

Akpoti-Uduaghan made the allegation during her appearance Arise TV on Friday. She told the presenters of the show that of two occasions when the Senate President shockingly made advances at her, adding that her problem started in the upper chamber because she rejected Akpabio.

She said: …’I noticed that he hastened his pace, while still holding my hand. My husband was behind still on his phone, trying to catch up whenever he could and then he got to this particular sitting room and he said. ‘do you like my house?’ I said, (yes) of course sir, every room, nice interior, quality taste, and he said, now that you are Senator, i am going to create time for us to come spend quality moments here, you will enjoy it”

Akpoti-Uduaghan went on to say that her move to propose a motion on the Ajaokuta Still complex was frustrated by Akpabio, who told her in his office that she has to make him happy to make any progress in the Senate.

“Mine is the case of a student being punished by a lecturer for refusing to sleep with him,” she added.

The Kogi Senator and Akpabio clashed on Thursday February 20th over a change of her seat.

She also debunked allegations of corruption and the embezzlement of allocation to the Senate Local Content Committee.
