The group of five Governors (G5) in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) insisting on the resignation of the National Chairman of their party, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu shave travelled to Spain for a crucial meeting.
It was gathered that the group led by the Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, left the country for Madrid on Friday night.
Their latest trip comes after Wike said during a live TV interview that PDP will not win the presidential election should he and his ally governors dump the party.
He however said the governors’ decision to remain in the PDP was an act of concession.
Others in the team are the Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo); Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Samuel Ortom (Benue).
It was learnt Enugu Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, may join the team later.
