Governor Buni expressed gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the substantial investments made in healthcare infrastructure and capacity building. He detailed the following key achievements:
**Construction of 140 new Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs):* These facilities have expanded access to basic healthcare services across the state, reaching previously underserved communities.
**Upgrade of six PHCs to General Hospitals:* This enhancement has significantly increased the capacity and scope of healthcare services available in these localities.
**Upgrade of four General Hospitals to Specialist Hospitals:* The upgrade has provided advanced medical care capabilities, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state for specialized treatment.
Governor Buni dedicated the award to the people of Yobe State and to the hardworking healthcare workers who have played a vital role in implementing these improvements. He pledged to continue striving for excellence in healthcare delivery.
