FG’s Issues New Circular Stopping Reopening Of Universities

The Federal Government has made a U-turn on its directive to Vice Chancellors, directing them to reopen universities, which had been shut due to the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

However, the new circular advised VCs to await further directives from the National Universities Commission.

The National Industrial Court had last Wednesday ordered lecturers to resume. An order which ASUU has now appealed.
