How Kizz Daniel Took Hit Song, ‘Gwagwalada’ From Me-Peruzzi

Popular Afrobeats artiste, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, better known as Peruzzi has revealed that the hit song, ‘Gwagwalada’ was taken from him by star singer, Kizz Daniel, and given to rave act Bnxn aka Buju Benson.

Peruzzi who spoke during a podcast said he called Kizz for a collaboration and he picked ‘Gwagwalada’ from songs played him by the ‘Buga’ singer. But Kizz and Buju later released the song as a collaboration without his knowledge.

The DMW artiste said though Buju and Kizz had worked on the track earlier, he was given the song to work on by both artistes after a discussion. He said he was suprised to hear the song later without a word from his colleagues.

He said: “Me and kizz daniel did a song but he gave the song to Buju that’s gwagwalada ‘na’.


“Long story short, I called kizz for a ‘collabo’, we linked up and he played a random song then he calls Buju, he said buju had a perfect verse for the song, I was cool with that”.

“He sent me the song to take it home to drop my own verse but i was determined to collaborate with kizz. I went home all night i didn’t sleep i was searching for a perfect verse but early the next day i say BUJU ft KIZZ DANIEL & SHEYI VIBEZ GWAGWALADA.
“Rght now i don’t wanna talk to him make everybody dey their dey”.

Peruzzi also made other revelations about his relationship with Grammy nominee, David Adeleke, aka, Davido. According to him, ‘juju’ once fell out of his jacket he picked from his closet while still living in Davido’s house.

He also disclosed that the ‘If’ singer never questioned him about rumours that he dated his wife, Chioma. Word had it that Chioma and Peruzzi are related.

The singer told the podcast hosts he moved out of Davido’s house when Chioma moved in fully as his wife.

He also revealed his great love and admiration for Tuface Idibia during the interview.
