The Court of Appeal sitting as the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday declared that President Muhammadu Buhari is not in any default for not presenting his West African Examination Council (WAEC), certificate, saying that there is not doing so was not fatal to his qualification to contest the presidential election.
Justice Mohammed Garba, presiding over the tribunal, said he is satisfied that Buhari met all the education conditions including being educated to the secondary school level to qualify him for the position.
Garba in his ruling, declared as valid, the recommendation from the principal of Buhari’s secondary to the Nigerian Army, that he be recruited as he was sure he can obtain five credit passes in the secondary exit exam as required by the army/
