Nollywood actress, Adejumoke Aderounmu, popularly known for her role as “Esther” in Funke Akindele’s popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary has died at 40.
Though the cause of death hasn’t been made public, Aderounmu’s death was however confirmed by her brother, Adeola Aderounmu, in a cryptic post on Instagram which read, “You are in a better place now, my sister,” with Aderounmu’s obituary photo.
Also, a friend of the deceased cousin, Oluwabanke Funmi, in a post on Twitter, captioned, “Rest in peace Aderounmu Adejumoke.”
“Waited hours for her cousin to delete her post and say it was a prank or a mistake but…,” she wrote.
The late actress, born on March 26, 1984, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in a private hospital on Saturday.
The cause of her death was yet to be made public as of the time of filing this report.
However, a funeral service has since been held for Aderounmu Adejumoke at Owu Baptist Church, Totoro area of Abeokuta in Ogun State.
