Candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the November 6 governorship election in Anambra state, Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, will on September 2, again, mount the podium to deliver the 2021 Dr. Sam Epelle Memorial Gold Lecture of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
The lecture which holds at the Banquet Hall of Orchid Hotels, Asaba in Delta state, will also provide opportunity for the Investiture of the Delta state Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa as a fellow of the institute.
Okonkwo, also a fellow of the institute, will deliver the keynote lecture on the topic ‘Reinventing Nigeria’s unity for Global Relevance in the 21st Century: Issues of Identity, Governance and Stability’.
Okonkwo, a political economist and Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, will use the lecture to share his perspectives and suggest ways to manage Nigeria’s image so as to make the country more relevant to global politics and business in the years ahead,
The lecture will be chaired by Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, a special adviser to the Delta state governor and also, the Chairman of the Delta state Security trust fund.
Expected at the lecture are captains of industry, public relations practitioners, top government functionaries, private and public sector leaders among many others.
It will be recalled that the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institute, Malam Muhktar Surajo, had last Friday, led a high powered delegation of the Institute to a meeting with Dr. Okonkwo in Abuja, to put finishing touches to the details of the lecture
