He is expected to be arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday for different offence.
However, a close associate of Sowore’s Barr. Deji Adeyanju has said Sowore’s legal team will continue with its plans to perfect the bail conditions given by the court.
Adeyanju who spoke with the press after the Sahara Reporters founder was re-arrested by the police, described the actions of the police as illegal and tyrannical.
Recall that Sowore was among the organisers of the #FreeNnamdiKanu protest that took place on Monday, Oct. 20.
In the course of the protest, 12 persons including Kanu’s younger brother, Emmanuel, and one of his lawyers, Alloy Ejimakor, were arrested and subsequently remanded at the Kuje prison.
Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin had explained why Sahara Reporters publisher. Omoleye Sowore was arrested by the police at the Federal Hight Court Abuja on Thursday.
Speaking at a media briefing, Hundeyin said, the former presidential candidate was arrested to ensure that justice is evenly applied to everyone involved.
