Breaking: INEC may shift presidential, N’Assembly elections to Sunday


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is now looking at postponing Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.

A formal announcement is expected on Friday night, Premium Times reports.

Premium Times reports sources close to the electoral commission as saying the postponement is being considered due to issues around logitiscs as reported back to the commission from different states.

An official said the commission is considering fixing the elections for Sunday, this is as INEC commissioners are currently locked in a meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
