
Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, has announced her plans for the future.
Chidimma told BBC Pidgin in an interview that she is stepping down from beauty pageants following her historic performance at the 2024 Miss Universe competition.
The Nigerian representative took second position at the global pageant on November 16 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, achieving a Nigerian first on the international stage.
Despite her incredible feat which has left Nigerians in a celebratory mood, Chidimma told the BBC, that she now has new priorities.
“I want to put pageants aside for now and concentrate on my studies. I also want to explore other opportunities to establish myself,” she said.
She added, “I’m also looking forward to exploring runways, acting, and seeing where my potential takes me.”
